Public Time is a collaborative project with Assoc. Prof of Architecture, Thomas Forget and explores how data may be visualized and materialized with an aim to illuminate the social impact and potential of regional transport infrastructures. In this project, motion data collected from rail tracks has been transformed into 2D visualizations and then realized in sculptural form. Public Time utilizes mapping, moviemaking (Thomas Forget) and experimentaton in various media (Janet Williams) to reframe the urban image of our city from car-based transportation to alternative modes of mobility.
